August 17, 2006, LAGOS-NIGERIA -- Netcom Africa has emerged a winner of the Best VSAT Company of the Year award at the Nigeria Telecom Awards ceremony organized by Nigeria Telecom Magazine held in Lagos recently. Selections were based on public votes with the votes been perused by a panel of judges to ensure the companies are in line with acceptable standards in the industry.
The company got nominations for awards in both Best ISP of the year and Best VSAT Company of the year categories, but won the award for Best VSAT Company of the year. Other organizations nominated in the same category were Suburban Telecom and GS Telecom.
