November 19, 2006, LAGOS-NIGERIA-- Netcom Africa, leading IP communications provider of satellite and wireless broadband products, has been nominated in the ISP of the year category at the annual Nigerian Information technology and telecom Awards organised by IT and Telecom Digest magazine .The nominees were selected from various entries sent in by the public and winners will be announced on Friday November 24th 2006, at the awards ceremony scheduled to be held in Lagos.
IT and Telecom digest magazine instituted the NITTA awards in 2002 as an annual event, to recognize and reward quality of service and enterprise to engender competition and promote healthy business practices in the Nigerian ICT industry.
Speaking on the nomination, Marketing manager, Netcom Africa Mrs. Lolade Shonubi said that ‘The Nigerian information technology and telecom awards is highly recognized in the ICT industry and been nominated for ISP of the year the same year we won an award for VSAT company of the year signifies the fact that our company is moving in the right direction.
